In the Paper

Filed under: — Johnny Christmas @ 9:56 pm on

So, my neighbor (Bill Ervolino) is a writer for the Bergen Record and supposedly someone ‘tipped him off’ WEEKS ago about what i was doing for christmas and that i was testing out my stuff for halloween. So this past Sunday he writes an article (non specific except to those who knew he lived around me) talking about the synchronized lights and how it looked like a nuclear explosion outside his window (which btw i LOVED that comment…BIG ego boost lol). So I emailed him that I don’t have blue lights on my house and my radios station is FM and not AM (two things mentioned in his article) in a joking matter and he followed up with a blog post explaining things a bit more revealing who i am and posting a link to my site etc…first link is his article, 2nd is his blog…seems like a real nice guy…haven’t met him yet and I’ve lived here 8 years now LOL…go figure

My First Fatalities

Filed under: — Johnny Christmas @ 3:54 pm on

With the winds we got yesterday and today in North Jersey I’m surprised that these were my only fatalities. I have 8 toy soldier blowmolds on my front porch and at least 5 times a day I’m picking them up between yesterday and today and one of them took a direct shot to the head and split wide open (hopefully not noticable while driving by) the FIRST fatality was my homemade North Pole with a GLASS sphere on top. I came home from somewhere, don’t remember where and i saw the toy soldiers sprawled out on my steps then looked further up to see my North pole on it’s side…upon walking up closer i saw that the globe smashed into a million pieces all over my porch. I yelled a few obscenities and got my dustpan and broom to clean it up…so for the time being til i get a new globe (preferably PLASTIC) my North Pole will be out of the display.
First pic is the blowmold toy soldier and second is the remenants of my North Pole globe
